For officers and employees of Chhattisgarh State Power Companies hired after January 1, 2004, the previous pension scheme was restored on Friday by the state’s cabinet, which is presided over by chief minister Bhupesh Baghel.

The cabinet also resolved to create a State Mahua Board to oversee the gathering, processing, and use of Mahua, a substantial forest product gathered by indigenous members that serves as a valuable resource for populations who live near forests.Through Mahua, the board will also try its hand at producing ethanol or biodiesel production units.
Also accepted were the proposed changes to the 2023 Chhattisgarh Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Ordinance.
The Directorate of Public Instruction, Chhattisgarh Raipur, received approval from the government for two more director seats, among other administrative reforms.
