The Indian team will play its first match in the ODI World Cup against Australia on October 8. The Indian team will compete against Pakistan on October 15 in Ahmedabad.
Pakistan suffered a severe setback from the ICC schedule. Pakistan has demanded a change of venue for both its matches. Pakistan did not want to play Afghanistan in Chennai and Australia in Bangalore. Not only that, even though PCB is not ready to face India in Ahmedabad, ICC has ignored Pakistan’s request.
ICC World Cup 2023 will be held in round robin format like last time. A total of 10 teams will play a total of 9 league matches in a round robin format. The top 4 teams will qualify for the semi finals.
The first semi-final of the ODI World Cup will be held on November 15 in Mumbai and the second semi-final on November 16 in Kolkata. The final match will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on November 19.
A reserve day has been kept for World Cup semi finals and finals. If, due to rain or any other reason, these knockout matches cannot be held on the scheduled day, they will be held on the next day. All the knockout matches will be played as day and night. All non-Indian time matches will start from 2 pm.
