Ingredients Required:
- Rice – 3 cups
- Chickpeas – 1 1/2 cups
- Sanna Rava-3 table spoon
- Sour curd- cup
- Ginger paste – 2 table spoon
- Turmeric – tea spoon
- Chilli – table spoon
- Baking soda – half a table spoon
- Green chillies – two
- Mint – chopped half cup
- Mustard – a little
- Salt – to taste
- Sesame seeds- table spoon
- Grated coconut – two spoons
- Coriander – a little
dhokla recipe Preparation method:
- Wash the rice and chickpeas
- place them in different dishes, cover with water, and let soak for about eight hours.
- The water is then strained, transferred to a mixing basin, and worked into a paste.
- Now place the flour and thin rava in a bowl. Pour in the sour curd and a small amount of boiling water, stir, and cover the mixture.
- Set aside this dough for approximately six hours.
- Next, combine the coriander, mint, and green chilies to form a paste and set aside.
- After the flour has soaked, thoroughly mix in baking soda, grated coconut, ginger, sufficient salt, and a small amount of oil.
- To make the flag three different colors, take the dough and divide it into three equal sections.
- Now, thoroughly mix in the mint, green chile, and coriander paste with one portion of the batter.
- Similarly, add the turmeric and chilli combination to the other portion and stir.
- Leave a portion white. In a deep pan, add the mint mixture and steam for two minutes.
- Add the white flour mixture once more, then cook for an additional two minutes on steam.
- Next, uniformly distribute the flour mixture that has been combined with turmeric and chilies, then steam it once more.
- Dhokla is scheduled to be prepared in fifteen minutes.
- Now heat a skillet with oil over the fire, add mustard seeds, and when they sputter, add sesame seeds and cook.
- Pour this popu over the prepared dhokla after that.
- Grate some coconut on top.
- The tricolor dhokla is now ready. It goes well with tomato sauce or chutney.
