In addition to the fine, you will also be subject to penalties under the Motor Out Act of 1998. Nevertheless, certain special vehicles and emergency response vehicles are exempt from this regulation.

What is GRAP?

Granted Response Action Plan, or GRAP for short, is what’s used to achieve this and monitor pollution levels. GRAP consists of four components in total. Phases 1 and 2 of GRAP have already been put into practice.

As per Stage 1, it is employed in situations where the pollution level falls within the poor range of 200 to 300. Older gasoline and diesel vehicles are prohibited at that point.

A star enters Stage 2 when it moves through 300–400. Furthermore, this level is regarded as hazardous. And the locations with higher pollution levels take severe action when this occurs. For instance, during this time diesel automobiles are prohibited.
