At Critics Choice Awards 2023, two of Hollywood’s most celebrated filmmakers, James Cameron (Avatar and Titanic) and SS Rajamouli, (Baahubali and RRR), met. Here is what they had to say.

 

At the Critics Choice Awards 2023, James Cameron from Avatar and Rajamouli from RRR spoke to one another. These two Bollywood and Hollywood’s biggest filmmakers shared their passion for cinema and talked about their films. Rajamouli, overwhelmed, took to Twitter to express his joy. He shared photos of Keeravani and Rajamouli meeting Cameron and his wife during the event.

He shared that he felt like he was on top of the universe when he was with James Cameron, an award-winning Hollywood director. Rajamouli spent 10 minutes analysing his film “RRR”. Rajamouli shared two photos on Twitter where he was seen sharing screen space alongside Cameron, who has worked on films like ‘Titanic and ‘Avatar. The first image shows the two masters having a conversation. As Cameron and Rajamouli talk, the second image shows Rajamouli holding Cameron in his hands.

 

The caption he added to the image was: “The great James Cameron watched ‘RRR’. It was so good that he recommended it to Suzy, and he watched it again with her. Sir, I am still stunned that you spent 10 minutes with me analyzing our movie. You said that I AM THE TOP OF THE WORLD. We are both very grateful.

 

Naatu Naatu’s song composer, who received Critics Choice Awards as well as Golden Globe Awards for the song, met with the filmmaker and shared their experiences on Twitter. “The great James Cameron watched RRR twice, and gave me feedback on my score!” Ocean full of excitement,” he wrote.

Rajamouli was a fanboy when he met Steven Spielberg earlier in his life at what Boris Kyt, ‘The Hollywood Reporter’ described as an A-list star-stuffed celebration hosted by Universal at West Hollywood’s Sunset Tower Hotel.

 

“I just met GOD !!!” Rajamouli captioned the photo of Speilberg.

 

Filmmaker SS Rajamouli’s film RRR’ was nominated for the Critics Choice Awards. James Camron’s Avatar: The Way of Water’ won the Best Visual Effects Award. Other nominees in this category were “The Batman”, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”, and “Everything Everywhere All at Once”.

The Best Foreign Language Film and Best Best Songs trophies were won by ‘RRR’ at the awards event.

 

Avatar 2: “Avatar: The Way of Water” is the sequel to 2009’s Avatar. It’s the second installment of the Avatar film franchise. Cast members Zoe Saldana (Sam Worthington), Stephen Lang, Joel David Moore and CCH Pounder reprise their roles in the original film. Sigourney Weaver returns in an additional role.

 

Edie Falco and Jemaine Cllement are new cast members. The film features Na’viJake (Worthington), and his family who, facing renewed human threats, seek refuge with Pandora’s Metkayina clan.
