Swaranjali presented to Lata Mangeshkar: Combination of classical music and film songs; Death anniversary events
Capital Bhopal sang her songs Saturday night in memory of LataMangeshkar. Kalavrind Sarva Kalyan Samiti organized Swarlata Swaranjali program. Mohammad Rafi Music Academy, and S. Of. Concerts and other celebrations in his memory have been organized by musical events. This program was held at the Dushyant Kun Memorial Manuscript Museum.
Lata Mangeshkar will celebrate her first death anniversary on Sunday, February 6. Swarlata Swaranjali presented Ragas Bilawal and Khamaj, based on classical music. Film songs based upon ragas were also performed. This was done at Samanvay Bhavan.
Saumya Sharma was second runner up in the second season’s reality series ‘Dil Hai Hindustani’. She also took part. Saregamp Li’l Champs PratimaGoswami, the top 10 contestant on Saregamp Li’l Champs, also performed film songs by Lata Mangeshkar.
Dr. Divita Garg and Saraswati Vanana started the program. Dr. DivyaGarg, Kendriya Vidyalaya’s music teacher, is blind. In 2014, President Pranab Mokherjee awarded him the award for “Best Creative Adult Person in Disability”. Anubha Shrivastava, Commissioner of Handloom and Handicrafts Department, was the chief guest.
In the Dushyant Kumar Memorial Manuscript Musem, famous singers such as Sanskriti Sharma and Devender Kaur, Riturai, Maya Pawar. Shivani Singh, Sapna Sahay, Pragati Saxena were among those who performed.
