7th Pay Commission Latest Update: Supreme Court gives an important judgment regarding DA arrears of 18 months; If the central government of India pays these dues to its central employees, then all the central employees will be greatly benefited. Shiv Gopal Mishra, president of the National Council of (JCM) staff side, said in a statement that all level 1 central employees are still owed unpaid dearness allowance ranging from Rs 11,880 to Rs 37,554 for the last 18 months.

Dearness Allowance has been increased for all central employees of the Government of India. The government has increased the dearness allowance of central employees by 4 percent. All government central employees will now get this as the dearness allowance has been increased to 38%. While it is speculated that the government will soon get paid its 18 months’ DA dues, the government is yet to receive any official word to this effect from the government.

Both the Central Employees Union and the National Council of JCM have urged the government to accede to the request of the central employees. In light of the fact that both central government employees and state government employees are protesting jointly and have threatened to continue doing so till their demands are met, the Supreme Court of the country has ruled that any government employee Duty pay cannot be withheld.

18 months outstanding DA can be solved in this month
All central employees are requesting that the government should pay their 18 months DA dues, and retired central employee pensioners are also requesting the Prime Minister of the country that the government should pay their DA dues at the earliest. The remaining DA fund should also be given to the central employees who are getting pension.

Therefore, the central government has scheduled a meeting to discuss 18 months’ DA dues of central employees, at which time a settlement may also be discussed. Government of India will convene cabinet meeting in the month of November; May be after this meeting central employees will get their stalled DA money; However, the government has not yet made any such announcement.
