Union Public Service Commission has issued Indian Forest Services Examination-2023 notice for filling 150 IFS positions. These posts will be filled by Civil Services Examination (CSE), 2023. Candidates applying for these posts should have passed Bachelors Degree or equivalent course in Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science/Botany/Chemistry/Geology/Mathematics/Physics/Statistics/Zoology/Agriculture/Forestry/Engineering specialization from any recognized University. Students in their final year of degree can also apply. Candidates must be 21-32 years old as of August 1, 2023. For reservation categories, there is a relaxation in the age limit.
Online applications are accepted by interested candidates until February 21st, 2023 at 6 pm. Online applications are now open. At the time of applying, general candidates will need to pay Rs.100 registration fee. SC/ST/PWD/Women applicants need not pay a fee. Selection will take place on the basis of a written test (preliminary and mains) as well as personality tests. The preliminary exam will take place on May 28. The Test Procedure.
The preliminary written exam will include objective questions. Each paper will have 200 marks. The qualifying paper is the second paper. These papers will be marked with negative marks. Only preliminaries will allow you to write mains.
