Indian Youngest Cricketer Shubman Gill Makes History with His Marvelous Batting to score a double century in One Day International Career against New Zealand at Hyderabad

Shubman Gill scored 208 runs against New Zealand, leaving Sachin Tendulkar behind. He also reached his 1000th ODI run in this match.

 

Shubman Gill made history with the first match in the ODI series between India & New Zealand. In a total of 208 runs, he played 149 balls. He scored 19 fours and nine sixes in his innings. Gill shared many records in this match. Gill is now the youngest batsman ever to reach a double century in ODIs. This feat was achieved at 23 years old. This record was previously held by Ishan Kishan who at 24 scored a double-century against Bangladesh.

This was the highest score of any batsman against New Zealand in an ODI. Shubman Gill broke Sachin’s record by scoring a double century. Matthew Hayden from Australia is third in the list of highest scores against New Zealand for ODIs. He scored 181 runs in 2007. D Chalaghan is in fourth place. In 1994, he scored an unbeaten 169.
